I'm Julia Riordan, a Swedish artist born in 1991, based in Stockholm. I discovered my passion for crochet and textiles at an early age, loving to see a cone of yarn growing into something wearable. After completing my first yarnbomb in the streets of London in 2013, my creativity sought out more of this type of expression. My art soon evolved into painting colorful murals containing patterns, geometric shapes and symbols collected from travels and everyday life.
In 2018 I graduated from Konstfack with a Bachelor of Textiles Art, and later on in 2019 I studied an Illustration course at Berghs School Of Communication. I love the combination of working large vs. small scale with textiles, spray, and illustration. I've had the opportunity to work with clients such as Halebop, Trafikverket, Oatly, Vasakronan and Scandic Berlin along with some school projects and workshops for all different ages.
